Am I just unlucky?

I’ve reached out to 10 parishes, 2 in my area the rest in my general radius. I’ve emailed and called parishes asking to see a Priest, I can’t get ahold of anyone. Today a priest wanted to see me and I thought finally this ends today after trying to get ahold of one since September, he’s 40 minutes away and he basically told me he can’t give me a profession of faith as usually you’ll profess in the parish you’ll attend and since his parish is far away he wouldn’t be able to administer it for me.

The best he could do is refer me to a priest closer in my area and ask if he can get his attention to me as the communication system for parishes is very poor and he said that it’ll take anywhere between a few days to weeks get back to me with this. At first I was thinking “alright let me get this sorted before Christmas Eve” that didn’t work, next “let me get this sorted before lent starts, plenty of time” that didn’t work.

Im just thinking is it meant to be this difficult is this a sign from a higher power that I’m not ready? How was your experience from orthodoxy to eastern Catholicism or really any religious group to EC
