Buyer didn't confirm parcel missing - advice and experiences very welcome!

Wordy one, so I don't misrepresent anything!

In January, I used the same InPost Locker for 7 items I had sold. Soon after, it transpired the locker was broken - nothing was moving, no updates etc.

In this time, I kept each buyer up to date, shared screenshots from InPost Customer Service, checked in, updated the buyers for planned days away etc, as I appreciated it was really frustrating on both sides, and I had a few trips this month.

This week - finally - they had been missing long enough to claim as "lost"! I messaged each buyer, to remind them to confirm it hadn't arrived, so they wouldn't miss out. I was paid money for all 7 items, so assumed all 7 buyers had confirmed as lost.

One of the buyers messaged me today... They had missed the deadline to confirm, and seen the sale was marked as complete. I've already withdrawn the money, used it as a credit card overpayment and the automated feedback kicks in tomorrow. They did not have holiday mode on, it seems they had not read their messages. The updates I shared also seemed to be welcomed and not irksome.

I recognise I may be being overly cautious. At this point, they can still leave feedback. They've not explicitly asked for a refund, but sent me Vinted guidelines which suggest we come to a "mutual agreement". The item was a storage jar, and it was £7.50.

I'm pretty confident I did everything I could, but also don't like someone being out of pocket. I want to be the decent person here!

Just checking - how would you handle this situation?

Many thanks!
