My eyesight is getting weird

experience/story

Hey fellow dentist, im a dental student that just this year started to work in the preclinical phase of my degree. And i have been getting this issue with my eyes were the focus point im having is getting faded and i get the feeling that you have when you both your eyes move towards your nose and get the double effect in your view. Other times is just my focus point that gets blurry and i have to remind myself to look harder to regain that sharpness on the tooth im working on.

I think this is related to the extensive practice with something up close now. I get this eye problem when im working or concentrating on drilling a specific point and when inspecting with the mirror sometimes. I get the problem more in the evenings when im tired and want to sleep but need to stay awake. I dont have this problem when looking at things far away just at the distance im working or RIGHT now when im writing this on my laptop an arms lenght away from me(but im pretty tired now so that has to do with it also).
i went to the optometrist for getting new subsribtion for my glasses and mentioned this but he just took note of this and continued on with the procedure.

But im wondering if this is something i need to check up with a doctor or if this is something you guys have also gone through.

I should also mention this is something that happened now often since the new years but it doesnt happen in daily life and doesnt happen all the time while im working but it has happened many times in a short time span that I im worried about it.

If you have question or need more info(if this was unclear) plz reach out.

Thanks in advance
