I never disengage

 Told me to let it go
That I obsess over certain things
That I want to dive into whole
Inhabit their space

She said just drop it
I told her it wasn't in my nature
The way I desire shines like a solar corona
It clings and it moves me forward like an engine

Told me it would be a good thing to move on
I said - it is where it is, intensity of ultraviolet
These parts of me have been burned into me
Illogical, obtuse I choose what I choose

Just release -she screamed
But I'll insist on this compound longing
Manifests into some lost spirit
Now a willing disciple

Knock it off
walking on the undersides of those clouds
Upside down through dusk
Farewelling the sun, then I am summoning it's rebirth in the darkness
