What do you guys think of Gretchen and Elliot

Doing a rewatch of the show right now, and I guess I never noticed how genuinely nice Elliot was to Walt at the birthday party, like the job offer and not making the Ramen thing awkward, I know they did kind of did gyp him out of the company(even though it was his decision), but it really seemed like they cared for Walter as a friend.
