Moving to Chicago. Need dog friendly housing recommendations?

Hi all,

My fiancé and I are moving to Chicago here this summer and want to get recommendations on neighborhood to look for housing in.

I will be working out of ORD airport and would like to be relatively easy commute.

We have never lived in a large city. Currently in the Portland, OR metro area. I’ve lived all along the west coast but only in suburbs of cities. We have a dog and need a dog friendly neighborhood. Ideally somewhere safe to walk around at night to restaurants and places. 2bd 1 bath apartment or home would be ideal. We would be renting and like it to be less than $3000/month.

I know this is vague but any help would be appreciated so we can start to look.
