Seeking advice on pathways and lump sums

Hi everyone. Seeking your advice.

I have been on WorkCover for approximately 90 weeks due to a psychological injury. I was close to returning to full capacity, however workplace issues resurfaced, which complicated the return. I have since moved back to full-time capacity under WorkCover arrangements.

My weekly payments are currently available up to 130 weeks. I am now considering formally exiting the scheme and applying for full-time roles elsewhere.

I would appreciate guidance on the following:

1.	What is the formal process to come off WorkCover?

•	Does this simply require an updated Certificate of Capacity stating “fit for full duties”?

•	Does the insurer typically accept this without issue?

•	Are there risks I should be aware of before making that decision?

2.	Lump sum pathway:

The insurer has indicated my claim may be referred to the lump sum/impairment department.

•	If I accept a lump sum payment, does that affect my ability to apply for or accept full-time employment?

•	Are there employment implications I should consider before proceeding?

I want to make sure I understand both the legal and practical consequences before taking next steps.

Thanks in advance for any insight from those who have been through this process
