I do rally call-outs while I'm racing

idk why but for some reason when i start doing call-outs to myself i focus better, for example when i know there is a really sharp corner in coming, i say: "2 to Half left, into..." and somewhat works cuz instantly i lower gear to get the right balance.

am i the only one? am i that crazy or im just too dumb?
