New UGC Creator Looking for Advice

Hi, my name is Michelle. I’m 29, a mom, and I’m just getting started in UGC. I don’t have any paid experience yet, but I’m really interested in creating content for tech platforms, business tools, and apps.

I understand content and storytelling, but I’m still learning the UGC side of things. For those of you who started from zero, what helped you land your first opportunity? Did you build a portfolio first, send cold pitches, or focus on organic content?

I’d appreciate any honest advice on what I should focus on as a beginner.
