People with both the Quest 3 and the Galaxy VR - do VR videos look that much better on the GVR?
One of the things I've been consistently disappointed in on my Quest 3 is the 180 or 360 videos that I see from places like DeoVR and YouTube. They are just so unclear and lacking in fine details. If I'm watching a 180 stereoscopic tourism video I'm usually unable to pick up fine details like individual strands of hair, text on some signs, texture of stone, etc. This greatly destroys the immersion because my brain knows without a doubt that I'm not there since the image lacks so many details.
I'm trying to figure out if this is because the Quest 3 simply doesn't have high enough resolution panels, or if the videos I'm watching are simply not high enough resolution (they're supposedly 8K, but they're streamed).
People who have both the Galaxy VR and the Quest 3, do you find that the GVR shows fine details way better than the Quest 3 for the same video, or do both appear roughly the same, indicating that camera sensors just aren't there yet for highly-detailed 180 or 360 video capture?
