Need help asking a girl out

So me and this girl are in the same English class in college. Ive been crushing on her and we’ve talked after class the past week. Well we talked for about 10 minutes today afterwards and she asked if I had a class after and I said no and she said “me neither.” I think I messed up at the time because it may have been an opportunity to ask but I was so oblivious at the moment 😭. I do want to say to her next class “would you like to go grab something to eat?” But I’m worried because I’ve heard that guys are supposed to decide and plan, but I’m not sure what she would like to eat. I want it to be a place she likes but I also don’t want to put her on the spot. Any advice will help lol
