The brake was not getting pressed after I started the Car from P mode. Anyone faced this?

I parked my car in front of a wall. And put the handbrake and P mode before stepping out. Came back to start my car again, removed the hand brake, I pressed the foot brake, but it was stuck. As if it was already floored. I pressed harder but no responce and anyways I hit the starr button. The car started and moved forward to bump into the wall.

not sure why it happened.

my friend says, it happened because I used brakes in neutral mode.

I am worried now.
