I hate my bf's living wage

I (F19) and my boyfriend (M20) have been dating for 3 years. I had a job since 15 (always minimum wage or slightly over), and my boyfriend got a high paying blue collar job at 18. He is extremely hard working and makes $23/hour. I want to move in together, but he says its too much for him. I understand, rent is expensive and some times are tough during slow season and college being a stress factor. But he makes about 2/3 of my paycheck even though I work double the hours. He doesn't live with his parents, but they pay for his groceries, BF doesn't have any bills (not even rent) or expenses (except gas), I pay for all my expenses, phone, car, etc., I'm not mad at him for getting to use all his money, but the problem is he blows through his money so fast, I have a reasonable amount in my savings for a car, this guy doesn't even own a savings account. every time we go out we split the bill evenly (of I'm low, he pays, he's low I pay sort of deal), but recently he say he doesn't have enough, even though he gets paid weekly and spends it within two days. Am I selfish for wanting him to be responsible with money? Am I selfish for wanting to move in together? in my mind we could totally make do with plenty leftover. This has been our most reoccurring fight and we both usually just end up disagreeing. What do I do?
