POLL: TESTING ROUND TWO??

Pinned

Enough of you have fervently expressed urge for a second community-wide attempt at professionally testing the chemical composition of our medication that it feels like the right time to take a vote. I’ve been planning this step for quite a while but was intentionally holding back until a few things were sorted out. One of those being a much more digestible re-release of the initial test results. I promise I’ll get those out soon for anyone totally unaware (don’t get excited though), and that’s also why I’m not going into detail here. So, please just hang tight with questions regarding specific testing procedure.

I was also waiting until I found a suitable testing facility capable of releasing the entirety of their compositional findings to clients, specifically a complete list of all unique compounds detected, their respective quantitative data, plus enantiomer ratio data for any amphetamine-based molecules present in the sample. Trust me, it’s harder than it sounds and it’s also the primary reason we commissioned an international organization for the first tests. Another reason I postponed a second round of testing is that without a lab selected, it’s impossible to assign an accurate goal amount for a new donation campaign. Several people have commented that it will likely cost thousands to obtain results that satisfy the above criteria, which is a far cry from the $537.66 (post exchange rate) cost of the initial tests.

I’ve said from the beginning that this process would likely take more than one attempt, as unexpected challenges are a natural part of any experiment, especially one involving something the government actively restricts average citizens from accessing. I do believe the increase in members could significantly speed up a second attempt if we decide to pursue another crowdsourcing campaign. The purpose of this poll is to better understand how many members are interested in actively participating and, of course, to keep things democratic. I’m more than happy to take on the responsibility of organizing and facilitating this process again, but it’s important that everyone understands what that entails. Donations aside, I need people willing to help research and communicate with potential labs and testing organizations, and even fact-check each other’s suggestions, especially mine lol. Although I put a lot of effort into making sure we were paying for the correct testing services, we still ended up with comically useless data more closely resembling a prop you’d see in a Fisher-Price play set. Again, I’m not rehashing that now, but I feel like it’s important to acknowledge my own faults and blind spots and develop strategies to prevent those same errors from happening again.

Last thing, there will never be any pressure to donate your money or time, and how your poll vote isn’t a legally binding contract to participate in any way. I totally get how sketchy it looks asking people on anonymous social media platform to donate money through a third-party crowdsourcing site lmao. Unfortunately, there isn’t really a better way to do it, and there’s nothing can say to prove I’m trustworthy. If it makes you uncomfortable, please do not donate! This is about pooling resources, but never at the cost of people feeling safe. I have no personal financial interest in this and will never keep a single cent for myself. I’m simply here to facilitate and guide our collective efforts in a productive direction. I have receipts for every single past transaction and will always operate with full transparency. With that said, any false scam accusations = automatic ban. Sorry but don’t have time for it. Any real concerns or requests to provide proof are always welcome.

Anyway, just trying to figure out what the vibe is rn. If enough people are interested, I’ll share details about the previous design and methods, and we can brainstorm next steps together.

I appreciate y’all so much,

Si
