Am I crazy, or is Matilda kinda sorta Jake Chambers in another world????

hear me out...

*both had shitty, neglectful parents

*both had to take care of themselves at a young age

*smart

*both have psychic powers (if you put telekinesis under the same umbrella)

*both are whisked away to live a much more loving and magical life

*both are adopted by someone that doesn't have children but ends up becoming a loving parental figure (although it feels like an insult to Miss Honey to compare her to Roland 🤣)
