In limbo…
Hi, I’m in limbo over here.
It’s been three years of symptoms that have progressively gotten worse in intensity and in frequency including new or changing symptoms. A recent contrast CT showed thickening in the bowel wall of the ascending colon with adjacent fat stranding. My surgeon has booked me for a colonoscopy and an endoscopy with biopsies planned but I’m still a number of weeks away from it.
Internal medicine has explained they are looking at all possibilities right now: IBD or colorectal cancer being the main possibilities since we’ve ruled out infections, parasites, viruses or infectious disease as well as H. Pylori and Celiac.
Did anyone else have thickening and fat stranding on a CT that was later confirmed to be IBD?Any questions I should ask or specific tests to ask for other than the scopes since they’re already scheduled?
