FET timeline help?

My work team is planning a trip the first week of May, and I’m trying to figure out if I can go. Obviously, my first priority is my health and my fertility. We just completed our first retrieval - assuming we get a euploid, our plan would be to do a FET as soon as our Dr says. Our follow up after this retrieval is March 24th. So I am guessing she’d be recommending a FET for April sometime?
Do they normally wait for your normal period or start you whenever?

Given the timelines above…does anyone have a sense of if travel would make sense? It is a cross country trip. I don’t want to be away from Drs during a crucial point in this, be in pregnancy or IVF stages, but I’m having a hard time estimating.
