2015 Passat Sel Premium Radio

Ive been looking around, are you pretty much forced into buying a rcd 330 for 400 bucks as the only really capable replacement with the fender audio system? Im pretty much a noob at this kind of stuff and would really like car play, but want to keep the sound quality and stock functions like backup camera and steering wheel controls.
