How to eat with 24/7 treatment plan?
I’ll be starting a treatment that is 24/7 where I change the trays every 4 days. I’m only allowed to take them off to brush my teeth and I have to eat with my trays on. How are people eating with these on? I assume it will feel weird and food will get stuck in the trays while chewing and would lead to higher chances of getting cavities.
My plan is to just basically drink all my meals with a straw. Then rinse the tray, brush my teeth, and floss my teeth right after my meal drink. For example, drink protein shakes and blend up boiled vegetables with soup so it’s thin enough to just chug quickly. I know this seems crazy and a big lifestyle change but given how expensive this treatment is, I’m going to just do whatever is fastest to eat and get the trays back in.
If you have a treatment plan like this how are you eating and what is your routine of eating/cleaning them?
