Cause for concern or just over analyzing?

I have a beautiful little boy who will be 4 in mid March. Lately, I’ve noticed some changes in him that have me a bit worried.

For the past couple weeks or so he’s been overly tired, multiple times a day he asks if it’s almost bed time or if I can put him down for a nap. He sleeps 11/12 hours a night and hasn’t been napping since he turned 3.

He’s been very irritable, scream crying and inconsolable which is not his typical demeanor.

He has also been complaining of leg pain, which I originally thought to be growing pains, but it’s always the same leg. If we’re out, he will walk at first but quickly wants to be carried or put in the shopping cart, again saying his leg hurts and he’s tired.

He off and on tells me his head hurts, asks to have medicine throughout the day and before bed, tells me he’s sick. Today he spiked a fever and I’ll be making an appointment with the pediatrician in the morning but of course, my mind is racing. What could this be? Is there anything particular I should ask of the pediatrician?
