Upgraded then went back to free version, now it's lagging.

I upgraded my family for a month to check it out. As my children are grown-ish and don't need to be monitored. We only use it for safety reasons like if we hear of an accident or something, we can check to make sure we aren't in the area. Sometimes I check to see where my oldest is working (she travels some days) to know if I should expect to pick the gbaby up from daycare... stuff like that.

With the upgraded version, we didn't use any additional features so it's not worth continuing so I cancelled and we went back to the free version but now it seems to be lagging, often.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I don't want to think it's being done by the company to get us to go back to the upgraded version... but the timing seems too suspicious.
