DPana Hub – ROM Download Manager v1.9.0 | Open-source desktop downloader for Myrient / LoLROMs / Pleasuredome / My Abandonware (Windows / Linux / macOS — formerly Myrient-dm)
Hello everyone
While ago I posted version 1.4.0 of Myrient-dm here. At the time, I received several really good suggestions, including:
• Adding a feature to download full romsets.
• Supporting more sites beyond Myrient.
I took those recommendations seriously, and thanks to that, a much more ambitious update was born.
From Myrient-dm to DPana Hub
First, I implemented the “Romset Builder”, a tool that lets you easily download multiple files from an entire folder.
Then I added support for more sources beyond Myrient:
• LoLROMs
• Pleasuredome
• My Abandonware (database still in progress)
As it expanded beyond Myrient, the name Myrient-dm didn’t make much sense anymore. So I decided to rename it to DPana Hub.
The name comes from the Chilean expression “de pana”, which means something is really good or high quality.
What is DPana Hub?
DPana Hub (dpanahub-rdm) is an open-source desktop application built with Electron + TypeScript + Vue 3, designed to browse and download ROMs and preservation files from catalogs such as:
• Myrient
• LoLROMs
• Pleasuredome
• My Abandonware
All from a local interface, without constantly relying on web browsing.
What does it do?
• Lets you search massive ROM catalogs locally.
• Robust downloads with:
- Support for large files via chunked downloads.
- Automatic retries.
- Integrity verification. • Persistent download queue: If you close the app and reopen it, downloads resume where they left off.
Useful Features
• Advanced search and filtering within catalogs.
• Romset Builder to add multiple files from a folder to the download queue.
• Magnet link support when available.
• Full download management: pause, resume, and restart.
Interface
• Light and dark themes.
• Modern (Glassmorphism) or classic Windows-style design.
• Detailed download progress information.
If anyone wants to try it out or share feedback, you’re more than welcome.
All suggestions are appreciated
