What budget is acceptable to ask guests pay for Mexico wedding?

For context, I am a South Asian bride.. our weddings are typically 3 days and 5 events. We recently shifted our wedding plans to have a wedding in Mexico to accommodate the large number of children (20 kids) we have in our extended family and think this structure makes the most sense for our guest mix.

The resort we like checks off MOST boxes but it is the highest AI available. Room rates are $575 PER PERSON PER NIGHT (no cost for kids).

I’m struggling with not feeling super selfish in asking our guests to pay this much to attend our weddings.

Ngl already feel not THAT excited about doing a wedding in Mexico but it seems like the only plausible option. So going to a lower or mid tier resort to accommodate the guest prices just feels like even bigger compromise. At this point, should we just elope!!!
