What laptops below $1300 are a safe bet against coil whine?
I recently bought an MSI Vector A16 A8W. It has high fan noise and coil whine issues, and I think it's giving me headaches. I bought it to replace my Dell G15 5520, a much quieter system that even when the fans were blowing didn't hurt my ears.
And so I'm thinking of returning the MSI Vector, though I haven't made a decision yet. Certainly it would be a tough one because any system I'd get would drop the 5070 Ti and it's 12gb vram that made the MSI Vector so appealing. Trying to lower the fan noise with MSI Center seems to make the coil whine more noticable.
Ive heard mixed reports on various laptops regarding coil whine, so some advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Ideally, I'd like a laptop with thunderbolt 3/4/5 or USB4 support so that when I have the funds to afford an egpu and a better graphics card, I could do that, though I don't outright need the feature.
