Uncomfortable crown question

I had a core buildup and temporary crown placed yesterday. The temporary is super uncomfortable around my gumline. I get that work was done on my gums and temporary crowns won’t fit perfectly, so a level of discomfort is to be expected. But on the back and the right side the crown margin is below the gumline (on the back it’s well below the gumline) and those are the areas that hurt. In front and on the left side the margin is right at the gumline. They feel fine. Is this how the permanent crown will sit in my mouth, under the gumline and irritating my gums? I’ve read that crowns are supposed to be placed on the gumline or just below to avoid irritation like this. Why would my dentist place it like this?

I’ve also just had a lot of facial pain and a headache. I’m so nervous that the permanent crown will cause the same issues.
