Dual Military State Taxes

My state of residence of legal residence is TX however after all these years I have registered my vehicles, changed my drivers license to a different states I’ve been stationed in so I don’t really documents besides my birth certificate. My family still lives there and I intend to move back when I retire.

My spouse is also in the military and her residency is Alabama. She wants to change it to TX under the military spouse act. Is this okay?

Alabama states they just need a copy of her DD 2058 next year. Are they going to ask for my Texas documents that I no longer have? Any help is appreciated.
