Traveling With My Corn Snake. Any Tips?

Hello there!

I will be moving across the country very soon (about a week long trip; driving and hotels) with my adult corn snake. I was planning on getting a large bin, filling it with his substrate and a hide and moving him that way. In the hotels I was going to put a metal mesh top on the bin and bring my heat lamp for heat in between drives. I was also thinking about a zip-tied pillow case for the drive section and using the bin for the hotels.

I would appreciate any and all advice on the best way to do this trip with my snake.
