Recommendations for PS3 games?

I have the pro, I was using it for some PS2 and gamecube games; but I have been wanting to play the PS3 version of the simpsons game, so I got aPS3e and got the game, it runs mostly fine; but I wanted to know, if there is something I have to configure with the console?

Like changing the fan to smart or sports mode (is in quiet mode), and the performance in medium or high (currently in standard) or something else that I should do or enable on the console so it doesn't fry itself?

I also want to play 3D dot game heroes, ducktales remastered and castle of illusion remake.
