how long do i need to stay?

just joined as an audit hire at the beginning of january and i’m completely overwhelmed. i wake up with dread and chest pains from anxiety about the job every day, cry at least three times a week, get nothing done because i just stare at the computer with confusion. everything on the screen just looks like gibberish and i can’t process anything i’m looking at. i’m completely lost. i never wanted to work big 4 because of the horror stories but felt like i had no choice but join to have it on my resume for the future.

idk how much longer i can stay in this role since i’m struggling so much. realistically, how long do i need to stay to make sure the name holds some level of merit when going to look for a new role?
