rolling enemies

Is there any lore explanation or theories as to why so many enemies are just casually rolling towards and away from you? Goats aside, but there's a good handful of enemies who do this. As far as I can tell it's the big axe wielding misbegotten, the claymen, the death snails and of course the godskin nobles. My best guess would be that it's somewhat connected to the crucible currents and the concept of death and rebirth. The rolling, spinning motion resembling the ouroboros (that snake that's eating it's own tail)
