Serious question on Cooper and AJ

I have been following drafts since 2016, I have seen players that i believed would dominate in the NBA from college and I have seen those who i dont think will translate.

I just wanna an honest take on why people still think Cooper is in a tier above prospects in this draft, when numbers arent exactly saying that.

As it stands AJ looks like a more aggressive and better offensive player. I get that Cooper was also a great defender as well, but i see a lot of people in this sub getting upset when its floated around that the top 3 guys in this draft are playing at his level in college.

I even think that AJ and Cooper play a similar style of basketball, mostly due to size and skillset.

From what we also know, both of them are absolute dogs and true students of the game and practice non stop.

Why do people feel AJ still isnt in Cooper tier?
