Mom said she would kick me (19M) out if I worked retail at an adult store, AITAH for questioning that?

So I'm in LA with my mom, we're both in an AirBNB together. I really need a job as I'm unemployed, and very very few places around here are hiring except for 2 places: A thrift store, and an adult shop (both positions would be retail sales associate).

I told her I applied to both since I really wouldn't mind working at a sex shop, I'm a very progressive person and comfortable with those things. As well as the fact that I'm not doing anything besides normal retail work.

She immediately told me no, that I am not allowed to work there. I explained that I need a job and that was one of the only 2 places hiring, so if they hired me, I think it would be worth it to take it up. She said she would not be comfortable living with someone who did that kind of work. She still had the same opinion when I tried to reassure her that I would only be doing retail the same as practically any other store.

I totally respect her discomfort, and don't want to cross a line since she's my mother and she has feelings too. She also urges me to get a job, it's just not easy unfortunately. She's paying for the AirBNB so it's her decision at the end of the day, it just confused me was all.

I didn't want to argue so I dropped the conversation after she clearly told me she did not want to explain herself and would not change her mind.

AITAH for questioning that? I mostly just feel bad right now.
