The popular meat ranking is: Pork, Duck, Salmon, Crab, Beef, Shrimp, Chicken, Lobster, Lamb, Tilapia, Tuna and Turkey.

  1. Pork is hands down the best. You can make so many things with it like ham, chops, bacon, sausages and when you add small amounts of it to a dish the pork flavor makes the dish 10 times better.

  2. Duck is next and it's insanely underrated. Most people just eat chicken but I believe duck is better for its rich flavor and the fatty texture. As an example Peking duck is one of my favorite foods and this will never change.

  3. Salmon is the best fish hands down. It's juicy, fatty, flavorful and when you grill it, the skin becomes crispy and it all becomes the perfect grilled fish.

  4. This one's a boiling hot take but crab belongs in 4th. It might not be as fatty as lobster but it's way more flavorful.

  5. I love beef as much as the next person but it's fifth on the list because other than steak and burgers there just isn't that much holding it up. Pasta with beef is good and all but it just doesn't compare to the other meats, meat balls are completely carried by the sauce, meatloaf is either disgusting or okay and ribs are just too hard to eat.

  6. Shrimp is pretty good but it just isn't good enough to be higher than the rest.

  7. Chicken is the most overrated meat. The only thing that keeps the chicken at a 7 and not lower is chicken tacos.

  8. Lobster is the second most overrated meat. It takes shrimp and removes everything good about it and turns hella expensive if you live inland. (something I experienced growing up in central Canada)

  9. I don't hate lamb but it's just plain and there aren't any really good ways to eat it so it gets a 9.

  10. Tilapia cannot compare to Salmon. I have never met a single person who says they like Tilapia and I agree.

  11. Tuna is just ripoff salmon and expensive if you get the specific kind. I would not have bought a tuna for 3 million dollars.

  12. Turkey is horrible. It takes chicken (an already horrible meat) and makes it gamey and bigger so you can't finish it and have to waste like half of it. Reheated turkey just ruins it even more if you're eating it after Thanksgiving.
