I Turned 18 and I can't believe it

Eenati Vishesham

I still don't believe that I have turned 18, the same kid who used to watch Doraemon, Shinchan, Ninja Hattori and various other Cartoons all the Day in TV, has Turned 18 today, ippatiki gurthundhi ra naaku, ala TV lo maggipoye vaadini aa Cartoons chusi, naaku adhe prapancham appatlo.

The boy who used to cry because he missed an Intro of a Cartoon on TV, has turned 18! , The boy who used to cry because India Lost in a World Cup match, has turned 18!

The Boy who used to watch Cricket so patiently, sincerely, every match, every over, every ball with so much of excitement, so much of anticipation would wait for his 12th result for the same amount of anticipation, not for marks but to clarify to himself that he has passed this phase peacefully, without any hurdle & can restart his life again, with more honesty towards himself and more sincerity towards his studies or work.

The Boy who used to go to Play Cricket at Summer Vacations with his peers, The Boy who used to fight for batting, The Boy who used to play cricket with his father every Sunday, is now fighting and negotiating with his parents for his dreams.

The same boy whom his parents used to wake him up early morning and dropped him at school, now would eagerly wait for his next phase of life , whether he would get settled or not?, whether he could fulfill the expectations set by this society or not, whether he could make them proud such that they can proudly say that "My son is doing this".

Enduko chala kotthaga undhi, like everything is the same, nothing changed, just naa Age 18 ayipoindhi but still chaala kotthaga undhi, ippudem special undho teliyadhu naaku

I find it hard to accept that My childhood is gone!!!! Khatam ayipoindhi bhai, inka bayataki aadukotaalu levu, College chuskovali , Degree em cheyyalo adhi chuskovali, Family Responsibilities chuskovali, naa own career ni set cheskovali, Parents expectations ni match avvali, ee societal expectations and timeline prakaaram undali and Most Importantly naa dreams ni naa voice ni nenu kaapadukovali, inka Naa lopala unna aa Chinna pilladini kuda kaapadali, the kid who is still curious, still gets excited

Chala bayam ga kuda undhi because My dream is not about having a job and getting settled in USA or UK, My dream is uncertain, incomes undavu madhya madhyalo and it is Scary! But still Its very close to my heart because it gave me life, it gave me self confidence, it gave me purpose but bayam kuda undhi endukante "25 lopala Settle avvali lekapothe next struggle ey undhi" adhi idhi ani enno worries, parents expectations ni fulfil cheyyali societal expectations ni fulfil cheyyali, ila cheyyali, ala cheyyali ani okate pressure, but still ekkado lopala undhi ki these won't give me happiness, I will only get happiness when I will pursue my dream and the courage is what all I want from this present 18 year old boy of mine!

Thank you for reading this much ❤️
