Has primary election turnout historically corresponded to general election turnout?

A lot of people have been talking about the Texas primary turnout looking comparably excellent for dems. Every time though, there's always somebody saying that it doesn't necessarily equate to a win in the general elections. But I've never seen anyone post any actual data. Does anyone know where one can find such information?
