Medical incapacity

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has ever been in a situation where you had a process of medical incapacity meeting with your employer. If so, how long was the process? did it feel one-sided to you, etc. I am going through one right now, and it seems a bit rushed and one-sided, and more of the way, they're trying to push me out of my position. It's worth knowing. I've been off work from an injury and just had surgery 6 weeks ago. In which my surgeon has said i should be fully fit to work in 6 weeks with our post-op appointment(2 weeks ago). They won't accept light duties or modify my job while i recover. I also have had to communicate with HR through the whole process as my immediate manager won't respond to my texts or my calls.
