Miller's thumbs-up/down signal

Something just occured to me. Miller's Planet's time dilation is canonically about 1:61400. If on Earth there is still something like the present-day Deep Space Network that receives in the S, X, and Ka bands, then Miller would have had to send her thumbs-up/down signal using an appropriately-modulated laser pointed back at the wormhole she came through. If the laser were green, it'd get downconverted to X-band on the Earth end.
