New SG Go broken Bluetooth connection?

I understand I am supposed to update the firmware, but I press both buttons to get into what I believe is DFU mode, and then nothing? It still does not show on the connection list and cycling through the menus does not prompt to connect or anything of that sort.

No combination of presses and holds does anything differently.

Please convince me not to return this timer I’ve been at this for two hours now
