My Bingo Card (all HM)
No Matter what I tried, I couldn't get the cover of The Everlasting to show up.
Other than that, I'm reasonably happy with my card.
This was my first time trying to finish a bingo card.
Please let me know if any of these do not actually fit (I'm reasonably sure that the English publishing of A Hero Born counts as Indie Published; I stand by the claim that the characters engaged in (digital) piracy in Project Hail Mary).
The prompts that made me read things that I otherwise would not have were:
Published in the 80s (Dawn was good, but like all Octavia Butler stuff, was just a little too harsh and abrasive for me to enjoy reading it)
Hidden Gems (The Prince of Ravens could have used an editor and a couple more drafts to make the worldbuilding make more sense and cut one of the most nonsensical "intrigue" scenes I have ever read, but the way it portrayed the main character's journey towards better understanding how oppressive his empire is was genuinely masterful)
Written in 2025 (Nothing stood out to me, so I tried my first litrpg, Deus Ex Machina, from Broker. Was fine, fun. Nothing more or less than the premise promised)
For the "recycle a square", I did "Revolutions" because that was a topic I read about a lot this last year (no reason...). Sapkowski does not tell a satisfying linear narrative, like ever, but he is the best in the business at creating meaningful "random encounters".
