Newly diagnosed(?) this week, these steroid infusions are ROUGH. Taking any and all survival tips.
I woke up two weeks ago with double vision in my right eye, discovered that my eye was not moving past a certain point and it was getting "stuck". Ended up going to the ER, they ruled out a stroke and kept me for further testing. During my MRIs, they ended up finding several lesions in my brain, with a couple in my cervical spine. They're still waiting on my lumbar puncture results to make the final diagnosis, but...
I'm on day 3 out of 5 for these steroid infusions and they are absolutely kicking my ass. 1,000 mg a day and no improvement in my vision yet, though I am hopeful my next two will bring some sort of progress. I miss being able to see correctly.
I'm so swollen, sweaty and hungry. The heart palpitations are messing with my anxiety and I've been an emotional MESS. All I do is cry and eat. Oddly enough, my skin has never looked better lol.
How do y'all handle the infusions? Any tips or tricks to help relax? I've only got two more days left, but it's been so hard to get through!!
