MSBA at Purdue West(Daniels) and MSBA at University of Washington Foster, I’m honestly torn.
Purdue was my first admit and I had a really positive experience during the interview. I connected well with
the interviewer and could genuinely see myself there. I had mentally committed to Purdue, and I like the program structure, cost, and overall environment.
However, just this morning I received an admit to Foster, and on paper it seems like a very strong option for obv reasons: higher global rankings in many lists, and being in Seattle obviously means proximity to companies like Amazon, Microsoft, etc., which feels like a practical advantage for recruiting.
I’m an international student (from India), and I’m trying to understand the real student experience at Foster beyond rankings
I’d really appreciate honest input on a few things:
• How is the recruiting environment for MSBA students at Foster, especially for international students?
• How important is the Seattle location in practice? Does it actually help with networking and jobs?
• How safe is the UW campus and Seattle in general for students?
• How diverse is the cohort socially?
• Have any international students experienced racism or difficulty integrating?
I know both Purdue and Foster are strong programs, and Purdue still feels like the place I’d personally be happiest. But I want to make sure I’m making a practical decision.
Would really value perspectives from current students or alumni from either program.
