IAmA former Marine, Autistic, Felon, formerly homeless for years with NO internet, ASE Master Automotive Technician, AMA
I was enlisted for 5 years in the USMC doing cyber security mostly.
I spent 6½ years in prison immediately following that.
I spent the next 3 years homeless, with restrictions from probation against using the internet in any way.
A court ordered therapist diagnosted me as high functioning ASD. I had the VA give me a second opinion, and a PsyD corroborated the diagnostics, with me actively trying to disprove it.
I bullshitted my way into a career which I'm actually now very qualified for, and am now a competent and ASE certified master mechanic.
I bought a house, ending my homelessness.
Less noteworthy: I can ride a unicycle; play piano; draw/paint/tattoo photorealism; memorize books to the point of knowing exactly where on what page a line appears, after reading it a few times; I donate plasma twice a week and make +$600 a month doing so; the prison I was in had a 100% infection rate of COVID, including the officers.
AMA! Friday February 26th, 10PM-2AM EST.
