AIO for being extremely annoyed at my bf for acting like a baby imo (description)

He’s 20years old but can’t sleep without a night light, sounds of rain playing on the tv, and a giant fan blowing in my direction every night, and amazingly I am the opposite. I prefer pitch black dead silence to sleep, but for some reason I tolerate his preferences because he refuses to compromise. However tonight I told him I didn’t want rain playing on the tv; I wanted it quiet, he proceeds to whine like a baby saying I’m disrespectful and that he’ll have to call into work since he won’t be able to get ‘proper sleep’. Saying I’m pissing him off for this etc etc. Am I overreacting if I said I wanted to break up with him because of his childishness towards something so minuscule.
