Spring Training Firsts

I don't exactly know why it bothers me, and I get the symbolism/camaraderie of it, but it annoys me when the media posts "First Hit/K as a new member of the team" during Spring Training. Is it really their first if it doesn't even count? It's basically practice/scrimmage games where the stats get wiped to start the regular season. I get it, and at the same time I don't get it, and it kind of annoys me.
