Orilissa, Possible Silent Endo, and 2nd Transfer
Trigger Warning Successful Implantation.
28F PCOS, SilentEndo
2 Miscarriages, 3 failed IUIs and 1 Failed Transfer
Hello I wanted to share for people who might be fearful of Orilissa because I was in the beginning. I went through a transfer in Aug that failed. Day 5 AA rated Euploid, that sucked. I had a meeting with my doctor afterward where we discussed he thought I might have silent endo. He gave me some options. I could take the test for it (Receptiva), Orilissa (fastest route) or try another embryo transfer with a high dosage of proges. I decided on Orilissa. My doctor put me on Orilissa for 2 months but it took a while for my insurance to pay for it because it was a high dosage. So the Orilissa started in mid November. I felt horrible for those 2 months. My hair didn't fall out but my joints hurt so much. I had intense hot flashes and headaches. Over all a hard medicine but not unbearable. You just go through a mini yet intense menopause.
I finished the 2 months then got put on progesterone injections and estrogen patches 2 weeks prior to transfer. I had 5 embryos left all rated AB. I preferred girls but during the meeting after our failed cycle I said I wanted the healthiest embryo next. The clinic picked a boy so that was that. We were quite shocked come transfer day but not upset because we don't mind. We go through the transfer and all is well for now. I am 5 weeks. Beta came to 2350 HCG today. So praying all goes well from now until the end. Any questions feel free to ask.
