What's with the TasWater ads?

I've been noticing a lot of ads from TasWater lately telling me not to shower as much and to sniff my dirty undies before I re-wear them and I was wondering what the point is?

The water comes from the river and it returns to the river, it doesn't disappear forever when we drink it or bathe in it... Is this some kind of green-washing propaganda? Is Bryn Estyn not sufficient for our needs?

The last ad I saw that made me want to ask people's opinions was about collecting the water when the shower is heating up and put it on the garden.. how the hell does that save water? surely it would be better off going down the drain so it can return to the water cycle rather than sequestering in the garden? Another one said to save all my laundry untill I have a full load?!? doesn't everyone just wait untill the basket is overflowing and curbstomp 2 loads into 1 every week? Are people really washing a single t-shirt every day?

Is it because the government gave $650000 to the Foo Fighters to play in the shithole that is Launceston that they don't have enough of our tax dollars left to run critical infrastructure like water and sewerage treatment?

3 minutes just isn't long enough to sit down in the shower and shake uncontrollably
