Need advice

When I was born my meme gave me a stuffed teddy bear. He is my most prized possession and I’m extremely emotionally attached to Mr. Valentine. Even though he has gone everywhere with me he still has the faint smell of baby powder and so obviousllllllly I’m scared to wash him. I just turned 28 years old and can’t help but wonder if laying my face on this never before washed almost 30 year old stuffed bear is causing some of my breakouts. Long story short does anyone have any recs for how to wash him? Buttttt I really don’t want his baby powder smell to go away so is the occasional breakout just an L I’m gonna have to accept?
