Microdiscetomy foot drop post surgery

My wife just had her microdiscetomy this morning L4-5. She really had a fragment which caused extreme nerve pain basically made her bed ridden for 4-5 days then went to ER.

Right after surgery no sciatic pain at all. Just pain from the surgery. We did notice a left foot drop. They did order another MRI. Just waiting to find out the results. Is there a chance they would do a revision surgery tomorrow? It would make it less than 24 hours since the surgery.

Has anyone else had foot drop right after surgery? How did they address it? Thanks
