Voiceover of Carl’s back patch has changed?

I’m rereading Book 6 on audible and I’ve noticed the voice used for Carl’s back patch has changed. “The scavenger’s daughter has opened her eyes, she fills with power.” Before it was this modulated demonic voice, it made me think of Scolopendra herself. Now, no disrespect I love Jeff, but it’s just Jeff voice unmodified. Has anyone noticed this change? Does anyone know why they changed it? Can I get the previous version back?
