Research experience in undergrad

Advice/Career

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding gaining research experience in undergrad in order to later get into a grad program. I've started my first two years at a community college where there isn't a lot of job or research opportunities. I've done tutoring, peer mentoring, and honors classes. My honors classes were not psychology related.

I'm transferring to a 4 year school that has a lot of research opportunities but also a lot of people for those opportunities.

Will I be okay if my research experience is in the last two years of my undergrad? I don't know when people usually start. I want to get into a grad program but I'm not sure how much that will take.

Thanks!
